Revelation chapter 12, we’re gonna begin reading in verse 9. If you got it, say amen. And the great dragon was cast out. That old serpent called the devil, Satan which deceiveth the whole world.
He was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. I heard a loud voice saying in heaven now is come salvation and strength the kingdom of our God the power of his Christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accused them before our God day and night and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto the death they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony I believe as I stand before you tonight one of the most overlooked yet powerful weapons in the hand of every man is the weapon known as words indeed at the beginning of creation when God spoke the universe into existence he did just that Nathan he spoke it into existence it is by words that wars are started and it is by words that wars are ceased it is by words that relationships are broken it is by words that relationships can be healed it is by words that misunderstandings begin and it is by words that misunderstandings can end can you say amen in our text tonight we read a very familiar passage we’ve heard it preached taught many times in many different ways down through the years yesterday morning about four o’clock when I’m sure that the Lord woke me up and he began speaking that verse to me sister Stacey and as I’m all over it laying there I thought we have got our people are covered by the blood and our people have got the testimony down pat but I believe that we’re overlooking a key ingredient in that scripture and that is the word of our testimony I’ve ever seen a time where it’s easy to stand up and give praise to the depression and the doubt and the discouragement that’s coming against our mind it’s in 2024 indeed I promise you we’re facing things we’ve never thought we would have to face there is a mental anguish coming against God’s people coming against God’s church never before seen in the history of the church I believe that the devil has launched a last-day attack to steal kill and destroy like he has never launched before I know that his time is short and he knows his time is short I see good Holy Ghost baptized Saints struggling under the wondering why they can’t seem to get victory my blessed Lord wondering why they can’t seem to shake the chains of despair and the chains of this for a depression the chains of discouragement truly I see genuine bewilderment in God’s great saints they think they’re moving toward victory they think they’re moving toward victory things are looking better and Hazel just a few days down the road that very thing that they thought they were rising above raises its ugly head once again let me tell you this everything screams when it starts to die if you feel like that you’ve got victory over something and something starts raising its head again that’s a sure sign that things being mortified that things being defeated and it’s trying one more time to come to life but I counsel you under God’s great Holy Ghost stand in your deliverance church my blessed Lord we’ve got the testimony part down pat but what are the words that we’re saying I believe if we can retrain ourself if we can refocus ourselves and realize the power of our words I believe brother can if we get ourselves back into the Word of God and realize the power that we possess in our words I believe we can move into victory once again I believe that we can move into victorious freedom once again you say brother Kenny are you preaching naming and claiming no I ain’t got no use for such as that I don’t believe in that rotten doctrine where you name it and claim it and blab it and grab it where you just speak it and you’re supposed
to have a Cadillac set in the driveway you’re supposed to have a million dollars in the bank I believe that that doctrine is a lie out of the pits of hell I think there’s demonic preachers out there preaching a false gospel telling people to send them their last dollar and they’ll have millions of dollars let me tell you the son of man didn’t even have a place to lay his head but you’re going to tell our people to send you all their check I’ll tell you this right now it is a line you better not put your hand to it children my blessed Lord I believe the Lord wants us to prosper I don’t think for one moment that by putting extra amount in the tithing part in the offering or tithing such-and-such you’re gonna get a fancy fat bank account you’re gonna get a hunter you’re gonna get brand-new clothes but I’ll tell you this if you’re faithful with what you got you hear me if you’re faithful with what you got he’ll be there when you need him bless the Lord there’s power though in your words listen to me if you say I don’t know how we’re going to make it chances are you’re not if you say we’re going down I don’t see how we’re going to pull through this we’re going down chances are you’re going down as a man thinketh in his heart so easy let me tell you you don’t have to have a million dollars in that bank account you don’t have to have fancy clothes to have all you need in this life brother Charles there is a big tree that you can walk in where you can still lay hands on the seat and they’ll recover there is a victory you can still walk in where you can cast devils out in the name of Jesus blessed Lord I feel like we’ve watched the pendulum swing too far to the name it and claim it that we don’t want to touch it at all but there is truth in saying there’s power in our words I want you to look with me very familiar passage of Scripture go over I want you to see it for yourself go over to mark chapter 11 begin reading the verse 22 and Jesus answering saith unto them have faith in God for verily I say unto you that who whosoever shall what say it again that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he what sayeth say it again those things that he what sayeth shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he what sayeth y’all see what I see in that now listen again don’t hear me saying something I’m not saying I don’t believe in naming and claiming but I find a principle here that we’ve been missing out on brother Larry we’ve been praying all this time Lord just move that mountain Lord just move that mountain for me if you’ll just move that mountain the Lord said in that passage the very first thing he said was have faith in God have faith in God but then he goes on he don’t stop there our part in this don’t stop there he said whosoever shall what sayeth we’re down here saying Lord please move that mountain and he’s up there saying son you stand up and you face that mountain with the boldness that I gave you and you speak to that mountain I don’t care if it’s a mountain of sickness I don’t care if it’s a mountain of depression I don’t care if it’s a mountain of discouragement I don’t care if it’s a mountain of doubt I believe that we as the children of God baptized in heaven’s Holy Ghost can look at our mountains and say mountain oh mountain you gotta move it’s a promise it is a promise be thou cast into the sea it is a promise here’s the thing when you have faith in God you speak to your mountains your faith in God will let you know that if it don’t move the way you want it to move your faith in God still stands that he’s got it all under control he’s still got here’s the thing not every mountain that we want to move needs to move at that particular time my blessed Lord we want things instantaneously I mean we like to get our potatoes out of a box put a little water in them put them in a microwave set down five minutes later oh but sometimes when Jennifer gets those bags the real bag of potatoes she drags those out when she’s cooking supper I see her go to peeling oh I know what’s coming Hazel I know what’s coming she’ll peel them potatoes she’ll cut them up she’ll put them on the eye and let them boil she’ll let them
potatoes boil when they’re just right she’ll mash them up she throws a little milk and mayonnaise and pepper whatever else she throws in those are some fine potatoes and they were worth waiting on let me tell you something sometimes we mountains we’re going to move right now but if it don’t it’s worth waiting on when the mountain mover moves can you say when have you spoke to your mountain I ain’t talking about in your mind I mean Bradley you looked at it and you said you gotta move Jesus said you gotta move my faith is in him my faith is in him first and foremost but mountain you got to move three times in that verse he references what you say he references what comes out of your mouth when’s the last time you spoke to your mountain we know the verse Proverbs 18 21 death and life are in the power of the tongue they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof drill that down words can kill words can give life they’re either poison or fruit you choose you choose what’s coming out of your mouth what’s coming out of your mouth let me tell you down through the years I look back there’s been times I didn’t know how we were going to make it we would be facing something and I don’t I won’t tell you you pastors flesh and blood but I remember I was telling some boys yesterday I remember many years ago y’all probably heard me say this I probably told it here but I won’t tell it again many years ago a storm had come through I mean it was a good storm and I remember it messed our roof up and I mean there was water pouring out of the roof now we were like I don’t know what we’re gonna do we’re just gonna have to get it fixed me and my brother and all climbed up on the roof of the house and put tarp up there till we could get somebody out to look at it I remember we got somebody out now I remember I remember the quote he gave us if I remember right I think is a thousand nine hundred fifty dollars somewhere like that it was a odd number now I remember I was like that’s you know that’s who’s got 1950 just laying around you know I remember thinking I don’t know I remember telling Jennifer I said I don’t know where we’re gonna get the money for this we can go to the bank we can borrow it I guess do whatever we got to do I just didn’t we just didn’t have it to come off of at that time in our lives and I remember she said honey the Lord will take care of it the Lord will take care of it now I was like well all right we’re gonna call him out here let him fix it we’re just gonna deal with it as we deal with it and I’ll never forget that boy come out there and he got up there and he worked on our roof and he come down and I remember Jennifer had went to the mailbox and I remember she called me over she said Kenny Lane I gotta show you this it was a check from where she had quit the bank five years earlier and they didn’t pay her enough in her 401k and it was one thousand nine hundred and fifty dollars speak to your mountain children speak to your mountain we are living beneath our privileges I said we are living beneath our privileges God in heaven how he owns the cattle of a thousand hills he don’t own just that he even owns the hills yet we’re walking around with our heads hung down our feet dragging the ground let me tell you God chose you to fly not to crawl rise up in who you are bless you Lord flip over to James chapter 3 verse 8 but the tongue can no maintain it’s an unruly evil full of deadly poison therewith bless we God even the father and therewith curse we men which are made after the similitude of God listen out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing my brethren these things ought not so to be does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter what’s coming out of your mouth what comes out of your mouth can determine your level of victory what’s coming out of your mouth determines the strength you’re going to walk in tomorrow you got blessings coming out of your mouth or you got curses coming out of your mouth let me tell you something let me challenge every one of you here if you’ve been in the fire if you’ve been facing despondency you’ve been facing uncertainty and it’s been a never-ending battle
you might want to jot this down if you like to jot things down let me tell you or challenge you to try this in the morning when you wake up I challenge you to do it five days straight and if you don’t see a difference in your life you let me know and we’ll talk about it a little deeper but in the morning when you rise up when your feet hit that floor I challenge you to say I speak blessings on this day and I rebuke curses I speak help on this day and I rebuke sickness I speak clarity on this day and I rebuke confusion I speak joy on this day and I rebuke sadness what are you saying Kenny I’m saying death and life lies in the power of your tongue love the story I’m getting ready to close love the story the Hebrew children we know it brother Terry those boys knew how to talk they knew how to answer when they were facing a fiery furnace Craig they do you want to say we know the story the decree was made decree went out when the music sounds everybody’s supposed to bow to this idol that Nebuchadnezzar has set up three Hebrew children wouldn’t bow we know how it goes they were they were captured or taken custody and taken before him no Nebuchadnezzar he was gonna cut him a deal he was gonna do him a favor he said all right he said you know what the decree is if y’all don’t bow to this idol then I’m gonna have to cast you into a burning fiery furnace but here we go boys I know you probably just didn’t hear the music I probably I figure you might have been talking amongst yourself and I’m paraphrasing right here I know that you might not have just really had your mind on what was going on but here’s where we are boys we’re gonna play this music one more time and you’re gonna get the chance to bow you’re going to get the chance to bow and in that moment you listen to me brother Larry in that moment those old boys stood up three out of the whole province stood up and said this is what I know I don’t know everything but I know this if our God chooses to deliver us out of this furnace so be it but one thing’s for sure he’s going to deliver us out of your hand so listen to me they didn’t know how the war was going to end but they knew one way or another they were going to be delivered they spoke deliverance into their situation what’s coming out of your mouth what’s coming out of your mouth you say you’re going down you’re going down brother Kenny I don’t feel like I’m a victor I don’t either a lot of the time but I know what the Word of God says I know what the Word of God says and if he said we’re more than conquerors we are more than conquerors we’ve walked by feelings long enough Shannon we’ve walked by feelings and a feel-good or a feel-bad long enough it’s time we refocus our faith into the Word of God and walk like the champions we are can you say amen.
